Fans of Stevie Wonder’s 70s work will absolutely fall in love with Samm Henshaw’s latest offering, ‘Get Back’.
As we’ve come to expect from this modern master of soul, the song feels classic in its style of production, yet also presents an alternative, indie edge that adds so much character and texture.
The melody flows beautifully, while the introspective lyrics tell of pining for the moments in life we didn’t appreciate as much as we should have.
“You’re looking back at a time that you had maybe taken for granted, and you want to get back to that place.”
The track is taken from Henshaw’s upcoming record, titled ‘It Could Be Worse’, which is out on the 21st November. The album will only be released on vinyl, and you can pre-order it here.
